Sustainability is essential for all our products and services. We are therefore proud to launch our greener CORE products, through which we aim to make the metal supply chain more sustainable in collaboration with our customers. Additionally, we have mapped the CO2 footprint of all our steel, stainless steel, and aluminium products with a guaranteed Product Carbon Footprint (PCF). Initiatives such as the Wood4Wood programme, with which we aim to recycle at least 80% of our delivered pallets by 2030, emphasise our commitment to a circular economy. Through our efforts, we strive to deliver sustainable products and services that not only meet the needs of our customers, but also contribute to a better future for the environment and society.

Our Wood4Wood programme seamlessly aligns with MCB's sustainability vision. By 2030, we aim to reuse at least 80% of our pallets. Therefore, we collect all pallets free of charge during the return trips of our deliveries. This can be done on request or on scheduled pickup days. After inspection and any necessary repairs, the pallets are reused as much as possible.
Each quarter, you will receive a guaranteed green certificate detailing the amount of CO2 saved, which can be used for your sustainability reporting (Scope 3). In this way, we contribute together to the sustainability of the metal supply chain.
CORE-products
With the introduction of our CORE products, we are making it easier for all our customers to order greener products. By choosing one of the three CO2-reduced variants (-33%, -66%, or -100% CO2 emissions), you can determine how much CO2 you want to save. For each purchased CORE product, you will receive a CORE certificate as proof of your CO2-reduced purchase. These green certificates can be used for your sustainability reporting (Scope 3) and made available to your customers. Together, we can contribute to the sustainability of the metal supply chain. Product Carbon Footprint
We have mapped the CO2 footprint of all our steel, stainless steel, and aluminium products, allowing us to issue PCF certificates for each of these products. The Product Carbon Footprint encompasses all stages of the production process up to delivery to our customers: from raw material extraction and production to processing, storage, and delivery of each product (Cradle to customer gate).
With a PCF subscription, a PCF certificate and an overview of the CO2 emissions per order line, month, and year are provided as standard with each delivered product. These can be used for your sustainability reporting.
